Cocktail Menu: three drinks with Brix’s all-Aussie rum

Brix Distillers has released a landmark core range of Australian rums – and is sharing some cocktail inspiration for bartenders.

Brix Australian Rum Mai Tai

Ingredients:


  • 60ml Brix Australian Rum
  • 15ml orange curacao
  • 20ml lime juice
  • 20ml pineapple juice
  • 10ml orgeat
  • 5ml simple syrup
  • Lime, pineapple wedge, pineapple leaves, Maraschino cherry for garnish

Directions:


  1. Add 45ml Brix Rum and all other ingredients to a cocktail shaker and fill with ice
  2. Shake hard until ice cold
  3. Strain into a rocks glass and fill with crushed ice
  4. Float remaining 15ml of Brix Rum over ice
  5. Garnish with lime, pineapple and cherry

Brix Cane Spirit Daiquiri

Ingredients:


  • 45ml Brix Cane Spirit
  • 30ml fresh lime
  • 15ml simple syrup
  • Lime wheel for garnish

Directions:


  1. Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker
  2. Add ice and shake until ice cold
  3. Double strain into a coupe glass
  4. Garnish with fresh or dehydrated lime wheel

Brix Spiced Rum Spiced & Stormy

Ingredients:


  • 45ml Brix Spiced Rum
  • 90ml ginger beer
  • two or three dashes of Angostura Bitters
  • two fresh lime wedges
  • Additional lime wedge for garnish

Directions:


  1. To a tall glass, add Brix Spiced Rum and top with ice
  2. Add ginger beer and squeeze in fresh lime wedges
  3. Gently stir to combine
  4. Float bitters on top and add additional fresh lime wedge
