One week until entries close for Angostura comp

Entries for the ANZ heat of the Angostura Global Cocktail Challenge will close this Sunday (18 August) – that’s less than one week away!

The Angostura comp has one of the biggest prizes on the circuit:

• AU$10,000 cash 
• A 12 month contract and salary as the Australian Angostura Brand Ambassador
• A trip to Trinidad during Carnival for the global final, where the winner receives a further US$10,000 cash and a two year contract as the House of Angostura Global Brand Ambassador
• Support to raise your personal profile and boost your bartending career

Winning this competition has been a launchpad for some of Australia’s most influential bartenders like Marco Nunes, Joe Sinagra, Andy Griffiths, Mike Tomasic, James Irvine and Dan Gregory from Australia and Ray Letoa from NZ.

Bartenders from our region have always been the ones to watch out for worldwide, having taken out the global prize four times out of nine. Marco, Andy, Mike and Ray have all won the global title and gone on to represent The House of Angostura globally.

Current Aussie champion, Dan Gregory, says, “The prize is unreal. You travel to Trinidad during carnival for the global final. You become the Australian brand ambassador for Angostura if you win the national final, but if you win the global final too, you become the global ambassador. It’s the only comp I know of that gives you a taste of being a brand ambassador. That’s a massive deal!
