Recipe: The Good Word

The Gospel Distillers in Melbourne recently launched their Solera Rye, and partnered with bartending talent across the country to celebrate. This creation is by Ollie Margan at Adelaide’s Maybe Mae.

The Good Word

Ingredients:


  • 50ml The Gospel Solera Rye Whisky
  • 20ml Ginger syrup
  • 20ml Fresh lemon juice
  • 15ml Marionette Cassis
  • 45ml Soda
  • Lime wedge or crystallised ginger to garnish

Directions:


  1. Add the Cassis to a Collins glass, followed by ice
  2. In a separate shaker, shake together whisky, ginger syrup and lemon juice
  3. Strain this mix over the ice and Cassis
  4. Top with soda
  5. Agitate the Cassis with a bar spoon
  6. Garnish with lime wedge or crystallised ginger
