Maybe Sammy’s ‘The Prince & The Showgirl’

by Seamus May

Sarah Proietti, ALIA Bartender of the Year, picked out this cocktail as the favourite she had created at Maybe Sammy.

“A twist on the Ramos Gin Fizz, the drink is inspired by Marilyn Monroe. This cocktail is fresh, fruity and delicate with a silky texture,” Sarah said.

“The coconut veil garnish on top represents the iconic white dress worn in the movie’s best known scene, above a windy subway grate. The cocktail comes along with artwork designed by local artist Kleme Kleme, and a QR code, which takes the artwork into a fun Instagram filter form, allowing guests to enhance their visual experience while enjoying the cocktail.”
