Entries open for Opihr Gin Global Cocktail Competition

Opihr Gin is inviting bartenders to enter this year’s Opihr Global Cocktail Competition, which will see regional finalists travel to a secret location along the ancient spice route for the grand final in September.

Bartenders are invited to create a new cocktail using Opihr spiced gin, which should be shared on Instagram (including a recipe along with the image), the post tagging @OPIHRGin and using the hashtag #OPIHRWorld.

The fine print? The cocktail must be a twist on a classic and be created using at least 35ml of Opihr Gin, with no more than five ingredients. It must also include at least one locally sourced ingredient – to bring a “real sense of provenance to the serve”.

Entries are open between 3 June and 19 July and are welcome from professional bartenders across the world.

The best entries per market will be shortlisted by the OPIHR judging panel and will be invited to attend their country final in mid to late July, with the winner attending the APAC regional final in mid August. The overall winner will be crowned The Spirit of OPIHR 2019 and will be invited to help shape the brand’s ongoing drinks strategy, alongside the opportunity to get involved with future projects.
