Young Henry’s running ‘Meet the Maker’ gin masterclass

by Andy Young

Young Henry’s has built a strong reputation and following for its beers, but the inner-west Sydney team also has a well-established distillery making a range of spirits and is offering the chance to ‘Meet the Maker’ as part of World Gin Day.

Led by Head Distiller Carla Daunton and YH Gin Wizard Hamish Mackenzie, the ‘Meet the Maker’ sessions will take attendees through the Young Henrys distillery, hidden among the beer tanks, to experience how the award-winning gin range is created.

The tour will then head to the tasting bar to sample an impressive line-up of Young Henrys gin, including Noble Cut Australian Gin, ST. ALi x Young Henrys Coffee Gin, and Young Henrys’ G&T tinnie, recently voted as the world’s number one RTD at the London Spirit Awards.

Carla said: “We’ll show you how our award-winning gin range is made, what they taste like and why we love them.

“I’m excited to share our flagship Noble Cut gin which takes home awards every year, our new coffee gin made in collaboration with Melbourne’s St. ALi coffee roasters that took home Gold at the San Francisco Spirit Awards and Silver at London Spirit Awards earlier this year, and of course our G&T which was voted number one RTD in the world. It will be a spirited event, that’s for sure.”

Every ticket also comes with a free bottle of Noble Cut to take home. Tickets are $60 and are available through the Young Henry’s website until each session on Saturday, June 10 is sold out.
