Suntory’s bar takeover

Suntory brings global bar icons to Sydney

by Andy Young

Suntory’s bar takeover at Prefecture 48 will be hosting two one-night-only takeovers from two of Tokyo’s biggest cocktail names in October.

First up, Wednesday 8 October, is Shuzo Nagumo, the visionary mixologist behind Tokyo’s Folklore and former Nobu London alum. Known for his futuristic cocktails and pioneering flavour techniques, Nagumo will be shaking up a bespoke menu that reinvents the highball while blending precision, creativity and Japanese artistry. Walk-ins are welcome, but smart money says book ahead.

Then on Tuesday 28 October, it’s time for Tokyo Confidential, the bar that’s been buzzing across Japan’s capital. Founder Holly Graham, recently named one of the world’s top 10 most influential bar figures, is bringing bold serves, highball twists, and plenty of Tokyo Confidential’s unfiltered charm to Sydney for the night.

Two nights. Two world-class Japanese bar teams. And yes, walk-ins are welcome, but bookings are definitely recommended.
