Naught Distilling celebrates awards three-peat

by Andy Young

Naught Distilling is celebrating an awards three-peat after its Sangiovese Gin took home the 2024 Australian Distilled Spirits Awards (ADSA) Trophy as Best Fruit or Wine/Grape Gin for the third consecutive year.

The gin has been impressive judges around the world having already won Gold medals at the IWSC in 2022 and The Spirits Business Global Gin Masters in 2023 and 2024.

“This year’s release might be our favourite edition yet, and we are over the moon to have it nationally recognised,” said Chris Cameron, Owner and Head Distiller of Naught Distilling.

“Each year we aim for consistency and quality, we continually strive to create the best and most well balanced gins available in Australia. We source our Sangiovese Grapes from the Yarra Valley and slowly process them for months to ensure the perfect balance of sweetness and spice.”

Judges noted the Sangiovese Gin for its tempting red body, notes of cherry, chocolate and peppery spice, all wrapped up to create a long and smooth finish.

The Naught Distilling Sangiovese Gin stands alongside the distillery’s Australian Dry Gin as one of their most decorated spirits, both with multiple trophies from the ADSA awards.

The team describe the 2024 Sangiovese Gin as being wicked and elegant and crafted to suit any mood or occasion, offering a special gin-drinking experience.
