Bar Leone Hong Kong

Bar Leone celebrates a month of wins

by Andy Young

Bar Leone has done it again, having been named The Best Bar in Asia and Best Bar in Hong Kong for the second year in a row at Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025.

The win cements the bar’s reputation as one of the top cocktail destinations not just in Hong Kong, but across the region.

Bar Leone named The Best Bar in Asia for the second year in a row

Since opening its doors in mid-2023, Bar Leone has made serious waves in the global bar scene, known for its laid-back neighbourhood vibe, classic Italian hospitality, and a cocktail menu that gives old-school favourites a refined, low-intervention twist.

Inspired by the traditional bars of Trastevere in Rome, the venue brings a slice of the Eternal City to Asia, complete with its lion motif and strong Roman character.

The Bar Leone team

July has been a massive month for the team. Founder Lorenzo Antinori landed the Number 11 spot on the 2025 Drinks International Bar World 100 list of the most influential bar personalities on the planet.

Not stopping there, he also launched his second bar in Hong Kong—Montana, a Cuban-inspired cocktail spot created in collaboration with fellow industry heavyweight Simone Caporale (Number Three on the same list). Expect tropical classics like Daiquiris, Piña Coladas and El Presidentes on the menu.

Award-winning drinks

With a focus on seasonality, quality ingredients and straightforward bartending, Bar Leone has hit the sweet spot between elegance and approachability. No fluff, just solid drinks, a killer vibe, and some of the best hospitality you’ll find in the city.
