Vantage Australia returns as official spirit at Logies

Vantage Australia will return for a second year the official spirit of the annual TV Week Logie Awards.

For this year’s awards, Vantage Australia’s creator Bill Hargitay has also launched a new Gold Coast inspired cocktail to celebrate the Logies’ 60th anniversary.

The bespoke Spirit of the Gold Coast cocktail combines Vantage with mango puree, passionfruit, lychee syrup and lime juice and will be served to celebrity guests on the awards evening, to be held at The Star Gold Coast on Sunday 1 July.

“I am thrilled that Vantage Australia has once again been selected as the official spirit for the 2018 TV Week Logie awards,” said Hargitary. “As Australia’s own spirit, it only seems too fitting for this year’s home-grown talent to celebrate their success with us.

“Since last year, we keep growing from strength to strength with our recent award wins, extended national distribution in Dan Murphy’s and independent retailers, domestic distribution in Singapore and continued growth in Australian duty-free stores, now also in Auckland and Queenstown NZ.”

Vantage Australia is a unique and original spirit that cuts across traditional spirit genres, earning a silver at the San Francisco World Spirits Awards for two consecutive years (2017 and 2018). The company describes it as the “perfect base for most cocktails giving life to old classics, with an Australian twist.”

The Spirit of the Gold Coast

Ingredients:

  • 30ml Vantage
  • 30ml mango puree
  • 30ml passionfruit
  • 15ml 1883 Lychee Syrup
  • 15ml lime juice

Method: Shake and strain into an iced crystal rocks glass or similar. Garnish with a lime wheel and a pineapple leaf.
