In case you missed it: Beachbum Berry Down Under

De Kuyper partnered with Tiki legend Jeff ‘Beachbum’ Berry on “The Works” program in August, hosting a series of inspirational and creative workshops in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.

Over 300 bartenders attended the sessions, but don’t sweat if you couldn’t make it – Bacardi have made Jeff’s full 90 minute presentation available to watch online.

There’s also a shorter video with highlights from the session – which you can watch below – as well as video recipes for three of Beachbum’s De Kuyper Tiki cocktails: The Last Wave, House of Bamboo and Tangaroa.

Beachbum, one of Imbibe magazine’s ’25 Most Influential Cocktail Personalities of the Past Century”, hosted the De Kuyper Works program alongside Bacardi-Martini Brand Ambassador Peter Hollands, showcasing De Kuyper’s flavour portfolio as well as Jeff’s renowned creativity in exotic drinks.

“De Kuyper is determined to further upskill our local bartender community by learning from the best talent the world has to offer,” commented Hollands. “Bringing Jeff for the first time to Australia was exciting and I’m sure he added a lot of value to attendees.”

Beachbum’s visit was the third time that The Works has toured Australia, following previous partnerships with Alex Kratena and Nicolas St. Jean.
