Bombay Sapphire’s summer of art and cocktails

by Andy Young

Bombay Sapphire and the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) have partnered to create an ‘innovative and sensory’ gin garden which will take place on Friday nights throughout summer.

The Bombay Sapphire Gin Garden draws on themes from the NGV’s major summer exhibition which sees Japanese design studio Nendo presentation of more than 160 prints and drawings by Dutch artist MC Esher.

The garden will serve signature Bombay Sapphire Twist cocktails, with combinations of summer fruits, including raspberries, lemons, oranges and fresh herbs from the NGV garden.

Bombay Sapphire Brand Ambassador and mixologist, Peter Hollands, said: “Each fresh ingredient we use in the Bombay Sapphire Twist cocktails are selected to accentuate the subtle flavours of the botanicals in our gin, creating a beautiful fresh tasting drink.

“By utilising the classic seasonal fruits of summer, our Twist cocktails offer a refreshing take on the traditional G&T and serve as the perfect summer drink.”

The Bombay Sapphire Gin Garden at NGV Friday Nights is now running each Friday until 5 April.
