Batter up bartenders

In an effort to bring back friendly rivalry on the softball field and celebrate its heritage, Bacardi is inviting bartenders around Australia to participate in its annual bartender softball competitions.

The first pitch will be sent on March 8 in Brisbane and will continue throughout major cities in the following months.

Bacardi released a statement saying: “Bacardi is excited to bring Australia’s best bartenders together to enjoy some friendly rivalry on the softball field and pay homage to the first Bacardi distillery workers in Santiago de Cuba, who finished their shifts with a game of baseball.”

The following matches will take place in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney on March 15 before wrapping up the tour in Perth on April 12.
