Melbourne’s Society offering a coastal twist to its Martini

by Andy Young

Papa Salt Gin and Golden Groves Olive Oil have teamed up to give a coastal twist to the classic Martini.

Launching 18 September exclusively at Melbourne’s Society (and only running for four weeks), the Mediterranean Martini swaps out the usual twist for a silky splash of Golden Groves’ certified organic, cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil.

The gin is washed with the oil, adding texture, depth and a lush Mediterranean finish.

Yianna Velos, Co-Founder of Golden Groves, says it’s all about harmony.

“Papa Salt’s coastal botanicals, wax flower, hibiscus, and citrus peel meld beautifully with the lush, peppery finish of Golden Groves olive oil,” he said. “The result is a Martini that’s smooth, savoury, and distinctly Australian.”

The drink is finished with a delicate drizzle of Golden Groves olive oil for added aroma and a soft, lingering mouthfeel making each sip a refined and sensory experience.
